I Am The Center Of The Universe

Okay, just say it because I know that you’re thinking it. You certainly act like it. Altogether now … “I am the center of the universe.”

Yes, each of us thinks so, huh? I know that I do.

There’s good reason for this — you are! Wait … no … I AM!

Hold on. We can’t both be the center of the universe! Hmmm. That’s a problem.

Maybe I can just let you think that you’re the center of the universe, while I know that I am?

What’s the career move here? Thinking that we’re the center of the universe isn’t a problem. Acting like we are can get us into trouble. So, until omnipotent powers go along with that thought, it’s probably best, at least while you’re at work, to keep everyone else humored in their own self-centeredness. That way, they’ll start seeing you as the center of their universe.
